People in Léogâne Haiti protest against high gas prices
Protesters in Léogâne Haiti unleash their anger against the rise in gasoline price.

Léogâne, Haiti, has been quiet for a long time while other municipalities rose up against the socio-economic problems and the long scarcity of gasoline.

On Wednesday, hundreds of demonstrators marched through the streets to say no to the rise in the price of gasoline announced by the government.

As has been the case for a few days, the protesters interrupt activities at the market, in other public places where traders gather; barricades are erected at several points in the city center and on national road #2.
